Drew myself as a modern lackadaisy character :) took a silly quiz on what breed I might be, turned out to be a ragdoll, lazy and easy maintenance.
Randomly found this guy on the internet, and I’m so glad I did.
Stubby was a stray dog of unknown breed who came in contact with a group of soldiers who were training for WWI. One soldier, Corporal Robert Conroy, developed a fondness for the dog. When it became time for them to ship out, Conroy hid Stubby on board the troop ship. Stubby then became America’s first war dog. Stubby, served 18 months and participated in seventeen battles on the Western Front. He saved his regiment from surprise mustard gas attacks, found and comforted the wounded, and even once caught a German spy by the seat of his pants. Back home his exploits were front page news of every major newspaper. At the end of the war, Conroy smuggled Stubby home where he became a celebrity. Stubby died in Conroy’s arms and was honored with his very own brick in the Walk of Honor at the United States World War I monument
My hero Stubby.
